Exceptional 1872 Antique Trombone and Lovers Knot (15.5")
A truly incredible Albert chain. I get so many queries for my daily wear trombone chain - lots of you covet her - and sadly, I'm very attached to her as well so finding her Big Sister here was a joy. One of the most well-preserved examples of her type - this chain is in extremely good condition, with no thinning between the links. The gold is magnificent - a rich, peachy, rosey gold that glows. The maker was really generous with their materials - each link is thick and juicy. The lovers' knots are stunning and give the whole piece wonderful dimension. Finding a chain in this condition, with this link type, with beautiful colour, all of the parts original, double dog clips, that is over 150 years old ... it's incredible. Truly a treat for me and I know whoever adds her to their collection is going to have a best friend for decades, a one-of-a-kind collector piece, envied by all. Her sturdiness means you never need take her off, she will become your signature. You will pass her down, she will become the most special heirloom in your family, and you will allow her to go on living well past her 200th birthday.
