Exceptional Antique BiColour Lovers Knot and Trombone Albert (14+1'4")
GUYS. Guys. Blessings on whatever master made this work of actual art. I'm sobbing a bit inside because she is a short girlie. Like we discussed on the weekend, Albert chains were originally worn on waistcoats to hold watches and what-not, so they weren't built for necks. Wait, can we just take a second for the absolute GENT who must have had this made? Like.... okay Rockefeller ... am I right?
This is unreal. Truly. Crafted in 18ct gold - white and yellow. The white gleams, the yellow is buttery. Double trombone links are interspersed with tiny lovers' knot. But the details - the details are what gets me. The 18ct yellow bolt and dog clip both have an 18ct white top. The t-bar is ringed by white detailing. It's actually insane the level of attention and care that went into this design. There's nothing else like it at this price point.
So if you are of the swan-neck variety, for example, this chain fits Emily, you can just wear her. Or maybe pair her with a bracelet, an extender, a brooch, a split ring... there are lots of ways of making chains longer and the best bit ... you also make your stack more dynamic by doing so.
Either way, this is a treasure for the AGES. She will be the most beloved thing you own.
